Copper Weathervanes (continued)
- Dimensions
shown are for the figures only
- Most weathervanes
are available in both antique or polished copper finish
- Antique
finish is a chemical oxidized process that steps up the aging
process. Over a short period of time, natural greening and aging
will take place. Since this is a chemical process, our antique
finish will tend to vary from a dark brown to green patina. In
time, the natural patina will appear
- Polished
finish will gradually oxidize with age. Natural aging will take
place. Time will vary depending on location and weather conditions.
Example: if you are located near salt water, the water in the
air is an aging factor. The closer the weathervane is to salt
water, the faster it will begin to oxidize. Spraying your weathervane
with a clear lacquer finish will result in delaying the oxidized
state to appear. Recommend at least 3 coats of a clear lacquer
or clear coat for cars. Please do not use any poly resins. In
time, the poly will break down. Again, your location and weather
conditions will play a role in aging your weathervane
- Weathervane
figures can be purchased separately for use over a fireplace,
on a bookcase or a wall. Please use our #402 Americana base or
#587B brass wall bracket. Please deduct $30.00 from our published
weathervane price to determine the price of the weathervane figure
- Full-Size
weathervanes can also be displayed indoors as an accent piece
in a study, office or den. Whether you use our #582 cast iron
base, #588 brass displays or even our #585H wall bracket, your
weathervane will add elegance to your room
- Another
way to display our weathervanes is with our #403R yard / garden
pole. Your weathervane can be the focal point in your yard or
garden using this pole accessory

- Weathervanes
/ Cupolas: our cupolas have built in weathervane supports so that
no mounting brackets are needed. For cupolas with bases larger
than 20", an extension rod is needed for the weathervane.
